The causeway to St. Michael's Mount (National Trust) at Marazion signposted off the A30 a few miles East of Penzance in Cornwall.  At low tide you can walk out to the Mount.  At high tide you can take a boat.  St. Michael's Mount was associated with Mont San Michel in Normandy, France. Admission is free to National Trust members others have to pay.  It is worth while joining the National Trust.  Sometimes the sun shines here but not on the day we were there.

Bournemouth Hampshire calls itself the happiest city in England.  This is the view from the tethered hot air balloon that takes you 500ft. up in the air and feels, relatively, safe.  There is a long sandy beach and a pier.  Parking can be difficult on hot sunny days because everyone want to go to the beach.  Plenty of hotel accommodation and a number of visitor attractions. Nearby is Poole which has the second largerst natural harbour in the world after Sydney in Australia.  From there you can take boat trips to Brownsea island where the Boy Scout movement was founded.  This is a National Trust property.
